Details of upcoming events in the campaign to stop the cuts to ATLAS funding for
New South Wales State Government

Stop the Cuts to ATLAS

The NSW Government has recently announced drastic changes to ATLAS funding which threatens to reduce services.

  • Funding cut by an estimated $9million per year.
  • Reduced staffing and less access to quality services.
  • Disability service workers facing job losses & increased Occupational Health and Safety risks.

The Union supports industry calls for an immediate moratorium on the implementation of the changes and seeks that a thorough consultation process be undertaken to ensure that future PSO/ATLAS reform initiatives improve not lessen the quality of such services.

The Union is committed to working for better quality training and support services for people with a disability to meaningfully participate in the community. This can't be achieved by slashing funding and reducing staffing levels.
