This one day colloquium explores a range of issues in contemporary social work practice with people with disabilities. Professor Richard Hugman, Head of the School of Social Work at the University of New South Wales, and Rosemary Kayess, Chair, Disability Studies and Research Institute, will open the day.
Students from the School of Social Work, UNSW will present papers and posters covering a broad range of issues. Topics include:
Access to the built environment; Sexuality and Disability; Sexualt Assault;
Ageing with a disability
Disability within the Social Work Curriculum;
Access to tertiary education; Discrimination against people with epilepsy;
Issues for people with autism sprectrum disorder;
Issues in inclusive education.
