The goals of the Systemic Advocacy Unit are to:
The Systemic Advocacy Unit undertakes its work in a variety of ways by way of
external representation and lobbying to all levels of government and businesses.
The Unit is also responsible for writing submissions to inquiries and
formulating policy direction within the PWD organisation. Furthermore, the
Systemic Advocacy Unit is responsible for conducting public forums around hot
issues with a view to establishing strategic responses to particular issues.
Staff of the Unit represent on committees discussing such issues as and many other issues that impact directly on the lives of people with
disability.
