Exploring the UN Disability Convention and Victorian Human Rights Charter
You are invited to attend the Office for Disability and the Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission forum to hear how can the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (2006) and the Victorian Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities Act (2006) improve the lives of people with a disability.

The forum will be chaired by Dr Rhonda Galbally, Chair of the Victorian Disability Advisory Council.
Key speakers at the forum will include:
  • Professor Marcia Rioux, York University, Canada and Co Director of Disability Rights Promotion International;
  • Graeme Innes, Human Rights Commissioner, Commissioner responsible for Disability Discrimination;
  • Frank Hall Bentick, United Nations Convention participant.  


When: Wednesday 23 April, 2.30pm to 4.30pm. Light refreshments will be served.

Where: Royal Automobile Club of Victoria (RACV), Bayside Rooms 5 and 6, Level 2, 501 Bourke Street, Melbourne.
