A note about the DSaRI/SRDRN Seminar Series:

During 2003 the SRDRN Seminar Series was absorbed into the Disability Studies and Research Institute's Education Program.  Apart from the name change, the seminar program will continue to operate in much the same way.  You will, however, notice some changes to the contact details (see below).  Gem Mathieu will now attend to the organisation of the series.

About the Organisers

DSaRI
The Disability Studies and Research Institute (DSaRI) is a new collaborative and cross-disciplinary initiative of several universities, disability peak bodies, industry groups and researchers. The Institute promotes a social perspective on disability research. Its overall strategic goal is to ensure a more accessible, participatory and inclusive society for people with disability. The Institute actively promotes the participation of people with disability in higher education, and as equal partners in disability research. DSaRIs research focus encompasses theoretical and applied research, and research programs that address accessibility and participation issues across the spectrum of disability (social group) experience.  The DSaRI seminar series incorporates the former Social Relations of Disability Research Network.
