The National Roundtable of Nonprofit Organisations
News

Nonprofit Roundtable aims to enhance the extraordinary work and effort already undertaken by nonprofit organisations in Australia. It seeks to promote and strengthen the reputation and recognition of the sector and to increase the infrastructure and capacity of the sector to deliver important economic and social contributions to Australia and beyond.

Independence

The Nonprofit Roundtable is independent of government. It has been formed and supported by the sector and has not sought government funding for its core activities. It uses "in kind" support from participating members and will seek funding from philanthropic foundations committed to building a robust, effective and independent nonprofit sector in Australia.

The initial participants of the Roundtable include:

ACOSS (Australian Council of Social Services)
http://www.acoss.org.au/
The Australian Council of Social Service (ACOSS) is the national peak council of the community welfare sector in Australia — the principal voice of low income and disadvantaged people in social and economic policy matters.

ACF is a non-profit, membership-based environment group. We take a solution-oriented approach to environmental issues, and seek to form partnerships with community groups, governments and business to achieve ecologically sustainable outcomes. Our work includes natural heritage protection, water resource management and global warming, endangered species, uranium mining and sustainable cities. We lobby governments and work to raise the level of awareness of environmental issues within Australia.

Australian Council for International Development
http://www.acfid.asn.au/

AuSAE addresses the interests of Australia's top executives from business, professional, technical, trade, sporting and welfare associations. We also have members from religious, educational and other interest associations and from various non profit financial institutions.

Confederation of Australian Sport

FECCA (Federation of Ethnic Communities' Councils of Australia)
http://www.fecca.org.au/
FECCA is the peak, national body representing Australians from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. FECCA's role is to advocate, lobby and promote issues on behalf of its constituency to government, business and the broader community. Established in 1979, FECCA is a non-political community-based organisation.

http://www.ncca.org.au/
The NCCA is 15 Christian churches, gathered from across this wide brown land, who have embarked on a pilgrimage together. We each bring a widely varied history of place, experience, and theology, but we share a common faith and confession in the Lord Jesus Christ as God and Saviour. We also share a common future as we are convinced that the future of Christians in Australia lies together, not in separation.
