Anti-discrimination legislation can pose particular challenges for small business, but the news isn’t all bad. The law requires that employers take all “reasonable steps” to prevent discrimination, harassment and bullying. What is “reasonable” for a small business is quite a different standard to that which can be expected of a larger employer.
This seminar uses decided cases involving small businesses to illustrate the law relating to discrimination, harassment and bullying, liability and “reasonable” steps to prevention.
