| Description: | The 65K 4 65 Roses Walkathon was first held in 2008 as a community fundraising event. In the two years since its inception over $150,000 has been raised for Cystic Fibrosis NSW. The event name is self explanatory, walk 65K to support Cystic Fibrosis (CF). Walking 65K is tough but living with an incurable and life-shortening illness is tougher. The 2010 event hopes to raise $250,000 and attract over 250 walkers. To put these targets in perspective, the 2009 event raised $103,000 and attracted 133 participants. On both counts this was a 100% increase from the inaugural 2008 event. The 65K 4 65 Roses Walkathon 2010 will take place on Saturday 6th March around the famous 'Bay Run' spanning the foreshore of Drummoyne, Five Dock, Leichhardt and Rozelle.
