Accessibility, getting it right the first time provides users with simple tutorials for developing accessible resources in the web based coding HTML and also in a range of commonly used software applications including Microsoft Word and PowerPoint along with Macromedia Flash. Compiled by a team at the Institute of TAFE Tasmania, the Guide has been funded through LearnScope, a nationally funded professional development initiative which focuses on providing greater flexibility through e-learning and e-business.

The (Creating Accessible Teaching and Supports) CATS project was initially funded by the Australian Universities Teaching Committee (AUTC) to improve the quality of teaching and support for students with vision impairment. The Carrick Institute has now funded Stage 2 of the project, which will broaden the focus of the resource to encompass the needs of students with other disabilities and implement an interactive audit tool to assist with monitoring compliance.
