Citizen Advocacy is a community-based program which aims to recognize, promote and protect the rights and interests of people with intellectual disabilities. This is achieved through finding and supporting individuals (Advocates) from the local community, who are prepared to act voluntarily to make a positive difference to the life of a person with the disability who may be isolated, face difficult challenges, or be at risk.
