Arts Access SA began life as Arts in Action, emerging from its umbrella organisation, the Recreation Association for People with Disabilities SA (RADSA), in 1986. Arts in Action developed through a lack of opportunities for people with a disability to participate in South Australia’s arts and cultural life. In 1989 Arts in Action became an incorporated association, with a charter to create and extend arts opportunities to all people with disabilities throughout the state.

Arts Access Australia is a membership based non government service organisation. We are a company limited by guarantee with Deductable Gift Recipient status as a Public Benevolent Institution. Arts Access Australia was formed in 1992 as the Disability And Disadvantage in the Arts Australia (DADAA) National Network. We work with government agencies, arts organisations and disability organisations.

Arts Access is based in Melbourne, Australia and provides access to arts and cultural activity for people who are disadvantaged, including people with a disability.

Access Arts is a Queensland based non-profit community professional arts organisation with twenty three years of experience working in partnership with people experiencing disability and disadvantage to pursue their ambitions in the arts. Since 1983, it has developed a Queensland, national and international profile for involving people with disabilities, and those who are disadvantaged, in the design and production of quality arts works, performances and cultural events.
