Regional Coordinator, Newcastle (Criminal Justice Support Network)
The Criminal Justice Support Network (CJSN) is auspiced by the Intellectual Disability Rights Service and is a State-wide support and information service for people with an intellectual disability who are victims, witnesses, suspects or defendants in criminal matters.
The Regional Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the delivery
of a support service for people with an intellectual disability who come
into contact with the criminal justice system, including court support
and support in police interviews, within a designated area. This will
include promoting the service locally; recruiting and supporting volunteers;
establishing and maintaining local networks.
This is a part time (30 hours per week) position based in Newcastle. An
above award salary package will be offered.

CJSN provides a support person for people with an intellectual disability
who need to appear in court on criminal matters as victims, witnesses
or accused.
